Who is the Actor's Alliance?
We are a unique organization that has been serving San Diego Actors for 25 years! Without a doubt "theatre" is a truly collaborative art form -- one that involves a variety of creative artists, all of whom are important to the final product. However, it remains true that there would be no final product without the Actors who bare their souls to tell the story. Unfortunately it is often the Actors who have the smallest voice and feel the least "empowered". That is why it has been our mission to serve, educate and promote the individual theatre artist.

Here it comes San Diego!! contACT ARTS will be spearheading the first-annual San Diego Fringe Festival – uncensored, un-juried and cutting edge. The hope of this festival is to breathe new life and inspiration into San Diego’s performing arts community by inviting outsiders to perform in our great city, and allow lesser-known talents among us a showcasing platform. contACT ARTS, a local 501(c)3 philanthropic community arts - service organization is collaborating with Actors Alliance of San Diego, San Diego Visual Arts Network, Greater San Diego Dance Alliance, Circle Circle dot dot, and several area businesses, among others to ensure the festival is a success for all.
Art forms may span from cabaret, comedy, cirque, dance, film, theatre, puppetry, music, visual art, multi-disciplinary arts, etc... There will be a “Fringe Central” and "Fringe Satellite Locations" throughout downtown San Diego from Seaport Village to 10th Ave Theatre and Space 4 Art (in the East Village). San Diego Fringe Festival encourages and assists venues and artists to be as successful as possible. This includes facilitating the matching of artists with venues and providing scheduling, programming, funding, ticketing services, marketing and publicity.
