Regional Auditions

AASD hosts casting directors from regional theatres across the country to audition San Diego actors.

Regional auditions are open only to Actors Alliance members.

There is a fee for each audition to cover the cost of travel in getting the theatre director to San Diego. The fee varies based on distance and time of travel divided by the number of actors auditioning. Cost includes airfare and hotel for one person. Any additional persons must be paid for by the theatre. Paying the fee does not guarantee employment. The Actors Alliance takes no profit from the fee. Receipts may be shown upon request.

The fee will be determined and posted at least 7 days prior to the audition date.

For questions about this program, or to add your theatre to our Regional Theatre Program, please contact Jason Heil, Program Director, at jason@actorsalliance.com or (619) 640-3900.

The AASD Regional Program is a Casting Director Visitation Program with the
goal of uniting AASD actors with directors and theatre companies around the
country. Artistic directors, casting directors, etc. from regional theatres
around the country are brought to San Diego where they audition AASD members
and have the option of seeing our members perform in local productions. AASD
members who are auditioning collectively pay for the individual travel costs
of each auditor.
