Actors Alliance of San Diego Ticket Discount Program

Actors Alliance seeks to help increase theatre attendance by encouraging actors support their craft by seeing shows. In order to do meet this goal we have developed the Actors Alliance Ticket Discount Program.

Through this program, theatres pledge to discount tickets to any AASD member who shows their membership card when buying tickets. In exchange for this discount, AASD will list this theatre as a member of the Ticket Discount Program in all published literature, and actively market the theatre’s productions to 400 AASD members. Details of this program are highlighted below:

Theatre Contribution to AASD- Ticket Discounts (theatre to choose one)

• 1/2 price tickets on all shows
• 1/2 price tickets day of performance
• $10/ $9/ $8/ $7/ $6/ $5 tickets anytime (choose one)
• $10 tickets on Thursday & Sunday performances, student priced tickets Friday & Saturday
• $5 tickets on Thursday & Sunday performances, student priced tickets Friday & Saturday

AASD Contribution to Theatre- Marketing

• Listing in “Ticket Discount Program Guide” appearing on www.actorsalliance.com, in our quarterly newsletter, and mailed with each new member and renewal packet.
• Theatre’s Production(s) listed as “Featured Production of the Week” on our website www.actorsalliance.com, (more prominently if the theatre has an AASD member in the cast or crew. Must receive press release or flyer with complete cast list for production in order to be considered for this benefit.)
• Posting of your flyer/press release on our callboard at the Actors Alliance Center.
• Ability to post special notices of preview performances, special engagements or production reviews on our website
• ACTORS IN YOUR SEATS AND SPREADING THE WORD

Theatres that are currently participating in this program include (but are not limited to) Sledgehammer, La Jolla Playhouse, The Globe Theatres, San Diego Rep, Actors Asylum, North Coast Rep, Diversionary, New Village Arts, The Muse, and over 20 more!

This is an exciting program that both supports our theatres, and benefits the actors that cannot afford to see all of the great theatre San Diego has to offer.

AASD recommends that all theatres offer a Monday “Pay What You Can” show for each production
